Where many stations encourages its hosts to sound a very specific way, podcasts are only successful if the host feels authentic. Jenna’s workshop will focus on finding your authentic voice as a podcast host.

Who are the most authentic voices in podcasting, and how did they find their voices? We’ll play examples of what to do and what not to do, and conduct exercises in finding your own voice as a podcast host.

Jenna Weiss-Berman is the co-founder of Pineapple Street Media, which is responsible for such shows as Missing Richard Simmons, Heaven’s Gate, Still Processing (New York Times) and Hillary Clinton’s campaign podcast With Her, among many others.

Prior to Pineapple, Jenna worked for almost a decade in public radio on such shows as The Moth and StoryCorps, before starting podcast department at BuzzFeed where she created Another Round and Women of the Hour with Lena Dunham. She currently sits on the advisory board of The Moth.
